Not-Hawaii

Not-Hawaii

A few days ago I went to the sand dunes. They were huge!I ran up them, fell and climbed up them. The first sand dune we climbed was very steep. When we reached the top I kicked my shoes off and ran around in the sand. I named that place Not-Hawaii. The next sand dune was the steepest that we saw. My mom and I are hardcore so we climbed up it. My dad took the easy way. What goes up must come down. My mom and dad walked the trail, but I was too hardcore for that. I ran down it. The sand dunes were in Michigan.

Horses And Apples

Horses And Apples

This week and last week I picked apples and rod horses. First I road the horses. I GOT THE MOST............ there is no way to describe him right. Hes not weird and suborn is not him. Hes simply indescribable. He was SO slow!!!!!! I mean he was like 30 feet away from everyone else! my mom was behind me so I was with someone which was like horse abuse to my mom;s horse. I felt very bad for my mom's horse so I let her pass. I should have guessed that that was never going to happen. My horse (Rascal) laid his ears back and trotted  away. Horses. :|
Apples! The more happy part of the blog! The trees were like barely bigger than me, most the apples were rotten, the only good apples were on the ground and it cost a lot! Ok it wasn't THAT bad. It was very fun and I got Honey Sticks! I am tired of writing sooooooooooooooooooo PICTURES!

Jewel Cave

Jewel Cave

This Friday we went to yet another National Monument.

Cave Tour

We went on a cave tour at 2:00.  I learned the difference between a cave and a cavern. It's the r n! I also learned that a President makes a monument and the congress makes parks. There were a lot of formations in Jewel cave. After being at Wind cave we thought that we had seen most of the formations. Which we did. The different formations that we saw were two different types of crystals.

More Wolves

More Wolves

This a continued blog about the wolves I saw.

My Notes:

755M
Black turning grey, 6 years old, sex: Male, Pack: Lone wolf

We saw two wolves. One female and one male. The male was numbered. his number was 755M. The M stands for male. He is a black wolf. When I saw him he was mostly grey. The reason he was grey was because he was old. Wolves only live until around 10 or so. He was 6 so he was fairly old. His girlfriend or mate was only 2 years old. There's a little age gap. His mate before this one died. I don't know her number. When I found him he was eating a carcass. I didn't know what he was eating but I found out later. The pair of wolves were eating a baby elk.

The Yellow Tetons

The Yellow Tetons

This week we were in Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons National Park. I have made a few new friends and pets. In Yellowstone I met ranger Rick. I met him when.... I don't want to spoil my grand ending! He was a very nice guy who answered many of my questions! My other friend I met at my camp site! We were camping in Yellowstone in Norris campground. First person we met was the camp host. I forgot her name! :D (smiley face) She was very nice and funny! We met her because a person accidentally hit the bear box in our camp ground sending it toppling over! We were not in the trailer at the time! When we got home she came to our campsite and told us what happened. The last people we met were people from Michigan. They really liked our Alaska plates! They were a slightly aged couple with a dog that walked itself! The man was a firefighter like my dad so they talked about firefighting and living in Alaska. My mom was talking to a woman about living in Alaska and dogs! I was talking and petting the dog. You know when I said that they were the last people we met. I lied. We went to the ranger Museum and met the ranger there. It turned out that his wife was the teacher whose place my mom took when she started teaching at North Pole Middle! Now on the the important stuff. My pets! First I have my pets from the Tetons. I have my pet moose and my pet pika. I don't have any names for them. My pets at Yellowstone were a coyote, buffalo, elk, and............. ITS A SECRET!!!!!!! Anyway we saw buffalo and elk, but I was most existed when I saw a coyote!! I was even more existed when I saw a.....
